The Golden Book Hotel Association
The Golden Book Hotel Association is formed of a select group of companies operating in the tourist sector. These companies have chosen to promote their image by means of an elegant gesture: the gift of a book to their guests. The Association’s members – be they hotels, country estates or restaurants – share the view that Tourism largely signifies Culture, and that attention to detail is an expression of qualified hospitality. The books offered by the Association’s members are small volumes printed on good quality paper; originally edited, they contain short stories by various authors and are translated into several languages. A specific graphical design has been attributed to each of the member organizations, and the books thus represent very personalized objects to be kept and collected. Some members actively participate in a program of special literary events and activities during the year. These events and activities are celebrated on their premises through the issue and distribution of special books and are connected to important occasions or the investigation of particular cultural, literary, and artistic tendencies. The Palio of Ferrara
